Selection Process
- Applicants will be assessed based on the written application, supporting statement, demonstrated ability and commitment to study, and performance at interview (which may be via video).
- Shortlisted applicants will be notified in October 2025 and must be available for an interview.
- Successful applicants will be notified in November 2025 and required to confirm their enrollment in an API accredited property valuation degree in 2026.
Scholarship Terms
- Scholarship commencement is subject to acceptance of APREF’s scholarship offer in writing and proof of enrollment in an API accredited property degree.
- Recipients must remain enrolled in the API accredited property degree, provide evidence of subject results, pass all enrolled subjects, and comply with the API Membership Policy and Code of Professional Conduct.
- Scholarship funds will be paid to the recipient’s nominated bank account and must be used for HECS fees or expenses directly associated with undertaking the study.
- Recipients agree to act in an ambassadorial role assisting in activities to raise awareness of APREF during their studies and as past APREF Scholarship holders.
- The scholarship recipient will be supported by an industry mentor and a staff member from the Education team at the Australian Property Institute (API).
- If the recipient does not complete the API Accredited degree, APREF may cancel the scholarship and request repayment of any funds already received upon demand.
