The API is not a lobby group. We set and maintain professional, entry and ethical standards which our Members are bound by. These are important facts in understanding why the opinion of the API is sought by Government and key stakeholders when impartial, unbiased advice is sought on matters which impact the property sector.
Unlike other organisations with a niche membership base who lobby on behalf of those members, the API has Members across the property profession. This means that the API not only has the expertise to provide a wide range of advice to an equally wide range of stakeholders, we provide that advice to stakeholders in line with the API core objectives - Independent, Objective and Authoritative.
