About CPD
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is the participation in ongoing education to increase or improve knowledge and skills, or develop personal qualities necessary for the performance of professional, technical, managerial and administrative duties throughout the member's career.
The Australian Property Institute (API) requires members to achieve 20 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points per annum. The following membership classes must satifsy the Institute's CPD requirements:
- Life Fellow
- Fellow
- Associate
- Provisional Associate
- Graduate
- Provisional Member
Affiliate members are not required to undertake CPD. These members include:
- Students
- Retired members
- Non-practising
- Honorary members
- Honorary Fellows
