API Announces appointment of new National Director

The Australian Property Institute (API) recently announced the appointment of Mr David Haythorn as theorganisation’s new National Director/Chief Executive Officer.

“David brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the property industry,” said API National President, Mr Philip Western.

We have recently released a new property page on www.ato.gov.au which provides a range of property tax-related information through one entry point. The Property page can help taxpayers and the community to better understand the range of tax obligations and entitlements related to property transactions including income tax, capital gains tax and goods and services tax (GST).

VALUER ALERT - Panel Valuer Agreements ValEx / NAB – Update

The Institute is continuing its discussions on the Panel Valuer Agreements with the intent of providing the valuation firms the revised documentation later this week. 

As previously stated, it is critical that ValEx be in a position to undertake the training and on-boarding activities in parallel, on the basis that a common position is being negotiated.
