Changes to the Membership Admissions procedures
The Australian Property Institute has recently changed some of our Membership Admission procedures. Click to read more

 

Provisional Membership recognises those who have completed one of the API’s accredited courses and have varying levels of property experience:

  • Graduates of accredited University courses with less than two years of property experience may apply for Provisional Membership. Applicants who fit this criteria but have one year of residential valuation experience may be eligible to apply for Provisional Membership with Residential Property Valuer (RPV)
  • Graduates of accredited TAFE courses may apply for Provisional Membership but must upgrade their qualifications before upgrading to Associate Membership. TAFE graduates who have more than one year of residential valuation experience may be eligible to apply for Provisional Membership with Residential Property Valuer (RPV)

Please note the API requests that applications are not submitted until completed.

  1. Read the Explanatory Notes - Download here
  2. Complete the Membership Application Form, attaching all requested documents (including your academic transcript) - Download here
  3. Submit the complete Application to your local API office  - Click to find local office


Recent changes - Applicants for Provisional Membership are no longer required to nominate any Referees.  To replace this, the API has added the “Good Character and Repute” section to our Application Form which must be completed by all applicants
