Fellow

Fellow Membership is the highest available Membership level within the API that can be accessed via an application by the Member. Applicants for Fellow Membership must:

  • have been an Associate member of the Institute for a period of at least 10 years immediately prior to the date of application
  • have practised in the property profession in full-time employment for an aggregated total of 10 years prior to the date of application
  • be recommended in writing by at least three Fellows to whom the applicant is personally known
  • have satisfied the Divisional Council that the applicant is a person of good character and repute
  • have an established professional reputation and high ethical standards and be held in high esteem with the property profession

In addition, applicants must also satisfy at least 3 of the 5 required criteria which are detailed in the Explanatory Notes and on the Application Form.

Please note the API requests that applications are not submitted until completed.

  1. Read the Explanatory Notes - Download here
  2. Complete the Membership Application Form, attaching all requested documents  - Download here
  3. Distribute blank Referee Reports to the referees nominated on your Application Form.  Collate those that are returned directly to you (exclude only those reports where the referee has advised you that they wish to return the report direct to the API). Download Template
  4. Attach your response to the Fellowship Criteria
