The Australian Property Institute has a considerable involvement with Property Institutions globally, of which includes reciprocal membership and international involvement. The API is committed to continually improving the Property Profession through its involvement with international instituions.
International Valuation Standards Council
The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) was established in Melbourne, Australia in 1981. The objectives of the committee are:

To develop truly international standards of valuation and reporting that meet the needs of finanical reporting, international property markets and the international business community.

To develop truly international standards of valuation and reporting that meet the needs of developing and newly industrialised countries, and to assist with the introduction and implementation of those standards.

To identify where national standards differ, and work towards greater compatibility and harmonisation between national requirement and international valuation standards.
